(almost) Marriage Equality in New Hampshire

Dear New Hampshire,

You're welcome to join the party any time.

Love,
Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Iowa

You know those times that you know you'll remember for the rest of your life? Not like the single days - September 11th, or when the spaceship exploded, or your 5th birthday or whatever. I'm talking about the time periods. "Bush's presidency" or "that year I lived in India" or things along those lines.

I know that this year is going to be one of those times. Obama became president. The country finally looks like it is going to pass federal hate crimes legislation that includes sexual orientation and gender identity. States are legalizing same sex marriage left and right.

New Hampshire is almost there. Maine is basically a toss up right now, but it could happen.

Not to burst any bubbles..

But unfortunately it's not 100% legal yet. Still has to go back to the House for another vote, then to the Governor's desk to be signed.

Things are looking up though. :)

Yay New England! Yay Midwest!
